Nabokov's Advantage

In the 1990s, while reading Brian Boyd's two-volume biography of Nabokov, I conceived of a novel about Nabokov and his future wife, Véra, in Berlin around the time they met, 1923. It would be told by a fictional American character, about their age, who is living in Berlin and meets them separately. I worked on it a bit in the early 2000s but didn't really begin in earnest until the Fall of 2010. Nabokov's Advantage is now finished.

You can read a synopsis here. I am also posting a PDF of the first sixty-five pages here. That's Volodya himself on the left of the photo, with his 1922 fiancée Svetlana in the middle and an unknown young man (Vel Spicehandler?) on the right.
